WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

This workshop will introduce and refine your understanding of learning how to learn—the very approach to training a body-based mindfulness curriculum.

Whether you’re focusing on foundational exercises, forms, applications or calm clarity in your everyday life, this workshop will introduce you to Zhong Xin Dao / I Liq Chuan principles that will help you…

• Experience the feeling of “moving from zero”—neutral movement
• Organize your own structure and alignment
• See how to coordinate the 5 qualities of movement — Absorb Project, , Condense Expand, Open Close, Concave Convex– as One.
• Clarify how to meet with the qualities of non-resistance: no advancing and no backing off – managing equal pressure
• Understand yin/yang at the point of contact and explore processes of flow fend roll and pivot
• Synthesize your movement qualities to bring them to the point of contact
• Gain a better sense of timing and spacing to bridge the gap
• Acquire a clear understanding of the present moment by using the references that allow you to experience what it means to ‘change with constant changes’
• Explore the inter-relationship of pressure and force, resistance and non-resistance
