Description
“The 21 Form in I Liq Chuan – Structure, Relaxation, and Energy in Flow” – Weekend-Seminar with Instructor Dominique Brizin
The 21-form is much more than a sequence of movements—it is a laboratory for perception, structure, and change. The focus is on experiencing the continuous transformation of yin and yang, visible and tangible in the coordination of structure, relaxation, and breathing. By consciously connecting these three aspects, a movement is created that does not appear to be made, but rather develops.
Once structure and breathing are in harmony, attention is directed toward deepening relaxation. This is not achieved by letting go, but by continuously balancing the tensions in the six directions and three dimensions. The body learns to expand and let go at the same time – to remain stable without becoming rigid.
The 21 form invites us to understand movement as a process. Circularity, continuity, and flow through the three levels make it possible to rediscover fundamental mechanisms in every movement. It is not about reproducing fixed sequences or fighting an imaginary opponent. Instead, form follows function: every movement arises from conditions that are perceived, understood, and adapted.
In this way, the form becomes a tool for mindfulness in movement. Attention becomes the connecting element between body, structure, and intention—and thus the key to development in training and beyond.
