“Spinning Hands” is the soul of GM Sam Chin’s I Liq Chuan Zhong Xin Dao. Building on self-unification through the 15 basic exercises and forms, we expand our unification with the contact point and beyond with our counterpart through “Spinning Hands.” The contact point provides us with the necessary information about what to do. To do this, the contact point must be stable and constantly change with the change so that the information is clear. Clarity comes through stillness. GM Sam Chin says, “Change with the change so that nothing changes.”
We can only train this through direct contact with an advanced instructor and with cooperative partners. We are researchers who want to explore ourselves, the point of contact, and the conditions for what needs to be done. Instructor Marina Gubnitskaya, 8th student level and 3rd instructor level, is such an advanced person. She knows how to meet everyone at their level of knowledge and teach us the principles of the “Spinning Hands Process.”
