Seems that there is 'nothing' at each end of the scale. We're living 'somewhere' in the middle. Back to the idea of maya.

I was referring to maya as in illusion. Not quite what the film shows, I guess that's more like showing the thin band of physical reality in terms of size. We also only see and hear in a thin band of wavelengths.
