Structure
Hey everyone!
I'm a beginner in I Liq Chuan, so i have lots of questions about the structure.
Do you know some exercise that would help me to recognise and build up my stucture?
Every time I practice 15 basics my knees and back are hurting a lot-I know that's the problem of my structure.
How to maintain the 13 points?
All suggestions are nice to see:)
Ashe!
I'm very grateful for your advice:)) I think It'll help a lot ( + my attension:-))
The knee problem started when I felt that without the 9solid and 1 empty my knees are obviously twisting, so I always try to maintain this point. With about an hour of training the pain starts to show.
Maybe just have to practice more often and have patience:-)
About the website-please cc me on my email and write more details, I would be very thankfull
sure Justyna, no problem! we'll be in touch re: the website as soon as we can. we have a few things that we're working on at the moment, and getting the Polish language section of the site started is kind of on Kelley since he's the technical whiz. once it's ready we can turn it over to you to do the translations.
once if you think there's enough interest, let me know and i can get a Polish language section of the forum up for you.
I would love to help
For now I have to wait for Mariusz Sroczynski's decission- he's the one who's responsible for spreading I Liq Chuan in Poland.
I just hope he'll say "yes" and we'll get started wright away. So when he'll make up his mind I'll just let You know
Mariusz decission regarding what?
regarding my help in this project,
I must have his permission.I cannot let him think that I'm doing his job.
P.S Ashe, your advice worked- I'm studying for an hour by doing the wrapping with the horizontal spin in front of the wall so I can feel the allignment of my legs better.
I think that it would be helpfull for students, who have the same problem, hope they'll read it and give it a try:)
Thanks once again!

my pleasure! glad to be of service.

Hey Justyna, welcome to the ILC forum and thank you for your hard work in helping I Liq Chuan grow in Poland! Believe me I know how hard it can be!
My experience has been this;
If your back hurts it's just because your body has not adapted to the ILC posture / expanding the mingmen. Over time the pain will diminish as your body adapts and the posture will become very comfortable.
If your knees hurt it's generally an issue of not maintaining your knees in the proper alignment, especially once you start generating horizontal power. If you let your knees "roll" as opposed to maintaining the straight forward and back path your knees will hurt.
Try to practice opening and closing the kua (horizontal spinning) with an emphasis on really feeling the foot push back into the hip joint to propel the spin (energy on the center of the hips) and maintaining the knee traveling straight forward and back (like cross country skiiing) and see if that helps with the knee pain.
Also, working a lot of absorb and project with a partner will really help develop your body.
I'm not sure if you mean "how to maintain the 13 points (better)"?
If so; attention, attention, attention.
for somethings there are just no short cuts.
