Hello everyone,
We have six spots left
for the seminar this weekend.
If you are planning to attend, please contact me at
info@internalarts101.com to reserve your spot.
----
This weekend we will
study the applications of the foundation exercises of I Liq Chuan. While many
view these "basics" solely as warm-up and coordination exercises that
are done until the forms and two-person practices are reached, in I Liq Chuan
the basics are considered "essential" and are an integral part of the
system, complete with martial applications.
We will learn how these
seemingly simple exercises may be applied martially:
1. Stance
2. Relaxation - Absorption &
Projection
3. Horizontal Plane
4. Frontal Plane
5. Sagittal Plane
6. Incorporating 3 Planes of
Movement
7. Condense & Expand
8. Macrocosmic Orbit Flow
9. Tu'na (condensed) Breathing
10. North, East, South, West
For those new to I Liq
Chuan, this is a great opportunity to learn the first ten of the "Fifteen
Basic Exercises", complete with an understanding of the application and
intent. These exercises are part of the regular I Liq Chuan training
curriculum.
For those with more
experience, you will be guided towards finding the following in every action:
1. Developing the internal
fullness to propel all movement.
2. Understanding the line of
defense and offense.
Level: All, beginner to
advanced.
Seminar Length: 10 hours
of class time, 12pm-5pm, both days
Equipment: Comfortable
clothing, indoor shoes & water.
Note: Limited to 30
participants.
Location:
The Construction Company
10 East 18th Street
(between 5th & Broadway)
3rd Floor, buzzer # 3
