Welcome everybody!!! I am new to this
forum. Actually it’s my first ever forum. And itt is good to be here with you. The
second summer camp an international ILC is now finished. At this point I
would like to share my impressions.
For several years, the summer period runs for
me at the dictation of the martial arts camps - my passion. They were
taijichuan camps. They could count up to 30 participants. Never
before however they were lasting two weeks as in this case. Before I left it
seemed to me that this is until two weeks. Today I can say that only ...
Wow! Where to start here... I'm very impressed with camp in every
way. The location - near Kiev, Ukraine. Place an extremely charming
and very clean. Morning meditations were held on the hill with a
magnificent view on the very wide at this point the Dnieper river. Other
classes were already carried out in the camp under shelter against the hot sun
which was almost all the time with us. Preparation of such a large undertaking with such professionalism
inspires admiration. More than eighty participants - if I remember
correctly - from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, U.S., Italy,
Austria, Poland, UK. Accommodation was a choice between fully equipped and air conditioned bungalows
or the campsite with necessary facility. Catering - the same goodies. Thanks to
the ladies in the kitchen, so we can be confident that a tasty home cooking and
baking are not completely ‘dead’ yet. It simply delicious. Classes -
really solid their daily dose. Starting with exercises unifying oneself; from
the morning with loosening the body, getting in the correct structure and slowly
building up the feeling of fullness - which was the main theme of the
camp. Later, unification with a partner once maintaining this feeling in
3D movements. There were of course plenty of spinning hands, mainly on the yang
contact and several entry sanda exercises. The whole day was embraced with
morning and evening meditations. In an addition, at the late evening,
everyone could concentrate on individual training needs accordingly with the
current level in the curriculum. All classes were conducted under the eye (literally) Master Sam F.S. Chin – the gate keeper of the I Liq Chuan system, Alex - just
nominated master of ‘Wonder Hands’ and Daria. The remaining instructors are also willingly helped at all times. I
cannot miss the events which anastomosing the already consolidated ILC
community. The whole time the atmosphere was like to being in one
family. Great time, great fun! Even the mosquitoes, could not prevent
it. I can not wait for the next camp. I highly recommend it as a
Ukrainian hot sun is!
And a daily wake from Mr. Rooster for morning meditation and bathing immediately
after it in the Dnieper river are simply unforgettable ...
Big thanks for all the Sifu Sam, Alex and Daria!!!
Thanks for the updates from the Ukrain workshop guys, and welsome to the forum both!
I thought it was interesting to hear that most of the spinning this year was from the yang side.

Hello everyone. I wanted to share a few words about this year's summer camp from the English speaking Beginner's perspective. I leave an analysis of the material covered to those more knowledgeable than me. Sufffice to say I am overflowing with Sifu's insights and instruction in the Art of I Liq Chuan. I have so much to busy myself with putting into practice.
Alex and Dasha did a fabulous job as organizers in addition to the superb instructional time the spent with us. Their support staff were always on the move making sure that everything run smoothly. We are all familiar with how much work it takes to put on an event like this and make it look as effortless as they did. The family that hosted our group could not have been more accommodating and gracious. Everything was 5 star.
I never felt out of the loop when presentations were in Russian. Many thanks to everyone for translating the instructions and teaching me especially Katia, Victor, and Marina. I surely would have missed a lot without all your help.
It is such a pleasure and inspiration to have been so embraced by you all. I felt like part of the family. I was missing you all before I left the Ukraine. I will not miss this event next year.
