Ashe has been involved in the martial arts for nearly 10 years, and
in that time has put in thousands of hours of academic and hands on
research into many styles of martial arts. He has been devoted fulltime
to the Chinese Martial Art of I Liq Chuan since 2001 and has been a
Certified Instructor since 2005.

In January of 2007 he became an official disciple under Master
Sam F.S. Chin.

In addition to local publications, he has also written
for the
International I Liq Chuan Newsletter and
made appearances on
several local TV stations.

In July of 2007 Ashe took 1st place in the light heavyweight division
(209 pounds) at the full contact Lei Tai of the Taiji Legacy
Tournament in Dallas Texas and1st Place at the Kuo Shu International
event in Baltimore, MD in 2008. In 2009 he recieved a silver medal at
the Lei Tai Legends of Kung Fu event in Dallas, Texas in 2009.
