How Do I Add Event Images To The Gallery?

First you need to upload all the photos from the event into a directory in the import folder according to the instructions found here.

To make an new Gallery and add pictures is a two step process.

STEP ONE -Create the Gallery to hold your pictures:

  1. Login
    A new menu will appear between the 'Navigation' and the 'Upcoming events' 'Blocks'.
  2. Click on 'Administer'.
  3. On the left side of the 'Administer' page under the 'Content management' section you will see 'Image galleries'. Click on it.
  4. Click on the 'Add gallery' tab.
  5. Name the Gallery. The Gallery should be named 'Country - Year - Month'. For example, 'Russia - 2006 - November'.
  6. Add a Description if you want, it's optional.
  7. Pick a 'Parent' Gallery... This step is very important so your new Gallery will appear in the right Country & Year.
  8. You can leave the 'Weight' alone.

STEP TWO - Import your pictures into the new Gallery.

  1. Click on the 'Administer link on the left again.
  2. Click on 'Image import' under the 'Content management' section.
  3. You will see a listing of all your Images you uploaded previously using FTP.
  4. Select the images by clicking the checkboxes.
  5. Remove the 'Title' or edit it so it is human friendly.
  6. Leave the 'Body' blank.
  7. Select the new Gallery you just made under 'Image Galleries'.
  8. Select the 'Country'.
  9. Click the 'Import' button.
  10. You're done!
